WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU

provisional

You will be met at your accommodation by your instructor on the first morning of your chosen course. You will then have your driving licence checked and your instructor will ask you to read a regulation number plate from the required distance of 20.5 metres (67 feet). This is a legal requirement. If you do wear glasses or contact lenses, then you must bring them with you, and wear them as necessary.

If you have the photocard style of license, you must bring both paper counterpart AND card with you. If you do not have both of these documents, then your course cannot take place until you obtain a replacement. This is because a theory or practical test cannot be taken without the proper documentation.

If you have an old style licence, a non photocard type, then as well as your licence, you will need to bring with you a valid passport. Without both of these documents you will not be able to take either a theory or practical test.
